So back in April 2013, whilst living in Abu Dhabi, we took a holiday…. From one kind of sun to another! We decided to meet up with family half way in Paphos, Cyprus and stayed in a great resort. The kids were an adorable age, with my little girl finger holding, not quite ready to walk alone.

We don’t go away often, so when we do we love to explore. We took a drive to the main town of Paphos and drove through a little town called Emba. Now for fear of sounding a little naf.. I apologise.. but I immediately felt that little burn in the belly of inspiration to get my camera out (which I didn’t have on me!) So on another day we drove back, child free, my husband driving and me hopping out every second.

The inspiration? Doorways. Front doors. Porches. Just something about this place that made me want to create a wee personal project… about doorways. It was a slightly overcast day giving soft shadows. I love the cool muted tones and simplicity of them. I just found them fascinating… See if you agree…
